"I have sung in multiple choirs, some with great artistic directors and some with…not so great…directors, and have left a choir I otherwise enjoyed because of it. I was new this season and I was very happy to see that Nick is both so positive, but also extremely professional and holds us to a high standard while still making the space feel welcoming and fun to be in." 

 

Nick is FANTASTIC. He has such a unique ability to balance between accountability / high standards musically while also keeping such a positive environment. His patience and enthusiasm makes rehearsals so fun - as opposed to other ensembles, where being reprimanded for errors (even as a section) causes me anxiety and shame. He's also great at explaining vocal techniques (speaking as someone who never sang in a choir before [this]).
